AI may know how you’ll respond to a vaccine before you get it
AI may be able to predict how strongly someone will respond to a vaccine before they receive it. By analyzing antibody patterns in more than 4,000 people, researchers found signs of “immune readiness” that helped distinguish strong responders from weak ones. Surprisingly, even some healthy people responded poorly, while some immunosuppressed people mounted strong responses.
Vaccine Against Brain Tumors Shows Promising Long-Term Results: 33 patients with high-grade astrocytomas, the most common form of glioma, received vaccine that trains the immune system to recognize and fight tumor cells. 66% were still alive after 8 years, and in 42%, the disease had not progressed.

DNA origami vaccines could be the next leap beyond mRNA
mRNA vaccines saved millions of lives during COVID-19 but have limitations like waning immunity and complex production. Scientists are now testing a new platform called DoriVac, which uses folded DNA nanostructures to better control how the immune system responds. In early studies, it produced strong antibody and T cell responses in both mice and human models. Researchers say it could lead to more stable, easier-to-manufacture vaccines for diseases like COVID-19, HIV, and Ebola.
Number of COVID-19 Shots Delivered in Alberta Drops By Half, Following $100 Fee and Other Restrictions
The number of Albertans who got a COVID-19 vaccine during this winter’s immunization campaign is about half the number who got vaccinated in the province during the same time period last season.
“It’s completely unsurprising, given the government’s approach to vaccination, that we would see a drop o
