I'm not sure about this one. From my view the purpose of going "no contact" is to fill an empty cup. If a person is currently toxic, there is no harm backing away to regulate until you feel "ready". I always ask my clients "is this a source of suffering?" and that goes both ways - cutting out people can cause suffering, just like *not cutting them out can. As I always say, wisdom is knowing when. Thoughts?
