We are now living in a period when poverty, homelessness, and social abandonment have reached crisis levels and the need for a united working-class challenge to this state of affairs is more important than ever. As John Clarke writes, this should be regarded as a monstrous social injustice that poses a threat to all workers—and it should be challenged by the entire labour movement.
